5 Tips For Stress Free Christmas Shopping

First off, where did 2021 go? I mean come on this had to of been the fastest year I have ever experienced in my life. We all know when Christmas is. But if you’re like me, and had a year like I did that went blazingly by. You still might be shopping for the right Christmas presents.

I’m going to share 5 personal tips on how to achieve a stress free shopping experience.

STEP  1 – HAVE A CHRISTMAS SHOPPING PLAN

Starting with a plan makes everything a LOT easier.

Part of your plan goes with out saying, but I will say it anyways. Think about WHEN and WHERE you will need to go to find what’s on your list. Write each place down, what to look for and mark it all off as you go. There’s nothing worse than having to turn around and go back because you remembered something you didn’t get. Having a list will for each place will truly help prevent this.

WHERE WILL YOU SHOP?

If you’re like me you enjoy shopping local and supporting the local communities. Often traveling to other cities for what they have to offer your city shops don’t. Online shopping is ultimately easier and more convenient. But there’s nothing like feeling like being part of and helping the community by supporting the local economies. Knowing where you will be shopping, or where you have to go will help extremely on time management and stopping at stores along the way rather than back tracking.

#2 – HAVE A (DETAILED) LIST

Next is having a very detailed list of what you’re going shopping for. This helps knowing where you need to go. Here’s a few things to consider adding to your Christmas shopping list.

There will be things included on this list like: –

  • Wrapping paper
  • Cards
  • Tags
  • Decorations
  • Crackers
  • Anything for parties you are hosting or going to
  • Anything for guests
  • Outfits

… it can get very long, very quickly but you get the idea!

#3 – HAVE A CHRISTMAS SHOPPING BUDGET

Oh the budget, the hardest part for many. There’s the struggle of finances, not going overboard and letting our hearts just spill out into the gifts we get for each other. This can result in things getting out of hand quickly especially impulsive purchases. Overall, figuring out a budget that’s workable will help you keep a stricter guideline to go by and mitigate those impulsive or emotional “have to get” purchases.

#4 – TIME YOUR SHOPPING

Closer we get, the busier our local shops get in the run up to Christmas. Shopping during the weekdays, early mornings and even late at night will help save time. More parking spaces, less lines will have you in and out in no time!

#5 – USE SALES IF YOU CAN
